At Donnelly Steen & Company, Wealth Advisors, we believe that wealth
management is the combination of multiple distinct disciplines. We
recognize that each of our clients has a unique set of needs, goals, and
aspirations. Our team will work closely with you to build a customized
plan and portfolio designed to help you meet your goals in the most tax
efficient manner possible. The assistance we offer is not unique,
however the attention we provide throughout the process is. |

1) Financial Planning
At Donnelly Steen & Company the understanding of each client's financial aspirations, goals, and objectives provides us the opportunity to structure and manage investment portfolios tailored to their needs. We believe that an initial financial blueprint be developed to characterize a client's needs and goals. Secondly, by constructing a highly personal and in-depth review and analysis of each client's situations, we are able to apply our collective knowledge and understanding of multiple financial disciplines to each of our client’s unique circumstances.
2) Investment Policy Statement
We work closely with our clients to help construct an investment policy statement that addresses their specific goals and risk tolerances. We believe that at the pinnacle of any comprehensive wealth management plan, a thoroughly developed investment policy statement is imperative. At DSCO we deem a statement acceptable by its' clarity in defining investment objectives, manager selection procedures, measurement standards, risk criteria, monitoring procedures, and asset allocation guidelines. From all of this, we develop a portfolio of investments and managers that, when combined, fit the investment goals that we build with our clients.
3) Investment/Manager Selection
Our manager selection process begins with a series of quantitative screens designed to pinpoint outstanding investment management talent without the emotion of promotion. Once the manager passes our first set of hurdles, we begin the qualitative process of getting to know the manager, understanding the investment process, conducting one or more site visits and completing background checks. Since we are absolute return oriented, we seek out managers that are not benchmark driven. In other words, we seek out those in the investment management profession, not the investment management business.
Similarly, our investment selection process is a passionless process. We do not marry stock, bonds, mutual funds or separately managed accounts. We employ these vehicles in concert with an investor’s Investment Policy Statement only to the extent that an investor can benefit from its use.
4) Client Concierge
Donnelly Steen & Company realizes that the relationships we have with our clients are our greatest resource. That is why we build our team around YOU. All of our advisors and partners are available to you to consult on the areas of your estate and financial plans that are most important to you.
Unlike other investment firms, DSCO is not in the business of transactions. Too many times after a financial transaction is made, the “broker” leaves the service up to their assistant or an 800 number to answer further questions or concerns that the client has. We, at Donnelly Steen & Company, reverse this trend by truly serving as a client concierge. You will speak to your advisor regularly, in good markets and BAD and not just when another “product” needs to be pushed. We strive to have the infrastructure to be the most interactive and communal advisors in the world. |
